Building Log

This is the building log of our kitplane, the CZAW SportCruiser. Keeping such a log is required by the FOCA (Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation) as part of the building and certification process of any homebuilt aircraft. The actual building process is supervised by the EAS (Experimental Aviation of Switzerland).

You can keep log of your building activities on paper, however, doing it on the internet gives other homebuilders a chance to see how someone else built the same plane. This often helps answering questions that might result from unclear or incomplete building instructions, it might even prevent other builders from making mistakes which then have to be corrected.

For the interest of everyone I therefore decided to maintain our building log on this web site.

Please note that all described procedures, techniques and solutions are done to my best knowledge, but purely for the purpose of building our own plane. They are neither recommendations from my side, nor are they guaranteed to be correct or complete in any sense.
